What to expect after you have Lip Blush

What to expect during your Lip Blush Transformation in a nutshell 👄

I don’t think the healing stages of Lip Blush are talked about often enough.

Here’s some of what to expect in order of when it happens:

✨ initially your lips may (not always) look a little more red in colour - no I haven’t ignored what you’ve asked for & given you a red Lip Blush 😝 this is blood flow under the tissue 🩸 & often subsides within 12-24hrs, sometimes less

✨ some swelling can be expected, but doesn’t happen to everyone

✨ lips feel dry & tight, you’re provided with full aftercare kit & guidance on what to expect, when to clean & when to apply cream

✨ after a few days (3-4 usually) your lips will start peeling

✨ lips can look patchy at this stage, as the colour underneath peeling is lighter than the flaking tattoo

✨ around day 5-6 lips will have fully shed/peeled & you’re left with a paler version of the colour you asked for

✨ weeks 1-8 are the internal healing phases of your Lip Blush. Your body is adjusting, healing & stabilising the colour

✨ during these weeks you can expect to notice fluctuations of colour, this depends on your wellness (if you’re ill, run down), temperature (lips still fade if you’re cold & are more flush when you’re warm), hydration levels (dehydrated = paler Lip Blush)

✨ at around 8 weeks your lips will have gone through their full healing cycle, your lips will need a top up at this stage to perfect them & also make them last as long as possible before your 1-2 year top up

I hope this is helpful 🫶🏼
